Transcripts for Voice Over and Descriptive Text for Level of Pet Friendliness Video

Audio:

Kamala to Lovie “Look at him,” referring to the hotel clerk unpacking a gift bag for pet guests. “He’s going to give you- Oh, my goodness! What’s are you getting? Oh my goodness.” She announces with a giggle.

The comfort level in terms of pet-friendliness was excellent. Lovie enjoyed some playful tug of war with the check-in staff after he presented us with a pet gift bag put together by our host.

Visual:

We move from exterior to interior of the resort hotel, starting in the parking lot and into the front lobby that showcases various artifacts from the Charles Schultz museum including Peanuts characters in glass showcases. Lovie the rescue dog sits on the carpet next to a case with Snoopy sporting a Giants baseball uniform.

A mixture of Tango music plays and live action diegetic sound. We hear Kamala talking to Lovie as one of the front desk clerks offers Lovie dog loot from a branded canvas tote bag with a bright pink flamingo on it. He starts to play with a flamingo pink rope tug toy with the same male staff member. We can see the man’s fore arms and one of his arms has a snake tattoo like Marines have. They play on the tan berber carpet.

Audio:

The gift bag included a toy, water bowl, and doody bags in a well-branded tote bag.

Visual:

Lovie continues to enjoy his loot in the garden suite living room area as Kamala unpacks the bag to reveal a cyan blue collapsable water bowl, the pink rope toy, and a roll of doody bags (to be used in the pet waste area of the parking lot). Lovie watches her pull out the bounty of items with eager anticipation. He examines each item with a few sniffs and nibbles. The scene concludes with a few stills of Lovie chewing on the rope toy.

Audio:

We actually felt like part of a community. Perhaps because many locals frequent the resort to use the pool and jacuzzi, and attend musical events in the lounge.

Another guest to Kamala in the jacuzzi area “I mean it was really nice talking to you.”

Kamala replies “Nice meeting you.”

Visual:

We transition to nighttime activities available on the premises as a handheld shot travels across the pool courtyard area to the hot tub jacuzzi. Kamala enjoys a warm dip with another hotel guest as Lovie keeps watch on the side of the tub.

They exit and another handheld shot takes us across the pool courtyard area, illuminated by globe bulbs, string lights and the neon lights of the pink flamingo rooftop sign in the background.

Audio:

Lovie and I stayed in a lovely poolside patio suite. It was tastefully decorated and had a nice flow to the layout. The furniture was comfortable and adequate for multiple people and pets. It felt like staying in a condo or timeshare with ample room since there was a living room, bedroom, and separate vanity and bathroom.

Visual:

We travel through the interior corridor and back into the living room area of the garden suite. Lovie is lying comfortably on a grey sofa decorated with green and white throw pillows. There are flowers from the brunch table and twine balls in a bowl on the black coffee table.

Kamala joins Lovie on the couch to watch some cable TV. Various painted and photographic art hangs on the wall. A cream colored post modern chair is positioned adjacent to the couch, reminiscent of 1960s style furniture. The Head of Sales shared with Kamala that the hotel tries to preserve some of its history with retro interior design.

Audio:

There was ample natural lighting and a window in the bedroom. With a full glass door that opened to the patio and pool area.

Visual:

The room has adequate light at all hours: lamps throughout the rooms for nighttime and lots of windows and a sliding glass door leading to the courtyard to provide natural lighting during the day.

The glass door in the living room leads to a patio that opens to the garden courtyard area by the pool. The bedroom window looks out onto the same courtyard that is also lined by various trees.

The next sequences showcases Lovie in various spots throughout the resort: outdoors on the patio, by the jacuzzi, by poolside lounge chairs lining the pool, in front of an oversized chair with the pink flamingo logo on it; and then indoors in front of a Hawaian and then an Egyptian pharoah themed Snoopy in glass cases in the various hallways.

Lovie dances the Cango Tango to celebrate the fact that pets can go to the Flamingo Resort in the Sonoma County portion of Wine Country. There is a title “Do the Cango” suggesting that your pets may experience the same joy.

Finally, in keeping with all of the videos featured on this website, the video concludes with the site’s motto of “Have fun. Save Lives.” and then the site’s URL, Petscango.com.
