CAMPBELL COFFEE HOUSE: Dog-friendly Campbell Silicon Valley-CLOSED

Posted by

OVERVIEW

In Silicon Valley’s City of Campbell; known for Hi-Tech start-ups and Fortune 500s, resides Campbell Coffeehouse. This café offers various warm and cold beverages in addition to healthy snacks. You can bring your dog inside on-lead, so it is a good cold-weather activity for café-goers. If you are looking for an indoor pet-friendly activity in Silicon Valley, you can do the CANGO at Campbell Coffeehouse.

IS THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT/SERVICE WORTH A VISIT?

The kitchen was closed when I went in the evening so I cannot comment on the food items. I did try one hot and one cold beverage and can recommend the following:

MANGO & FRIENDS: Fruity, Exotic Fruits, Naturally Sweet & Delicious, herbal

This smells SO good and has a nice mildly fruity flavor.

PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN POWDER: Bananas & and Oat or Almond Milk

What can I say, I am a sucker for nutty smoothies. I like that you do not have to pay extra for non-dairy options too.

HOW PET-FRIENDLY IS IT?

It is always nice to find a place that you can frequent with your dog indoors. It is not uncommon to be able to bring your dog into a retail store, but it is not common to be able to get a cup of coffee or tea during the chilly winter months and be able to bring your dog inside with you. This may reduce guilt for those who need a daily caffeine fix or like to work out of a café. This also makes it possible to make your dog part of your daily routine: walk your dog AND feed your habit, if you have one. What a treat on a cold day to be able to warm up with your pooch.

They do not have treats for dogs or a pet menu. They did not offer water for Lovie too, but they probably would have accommodated us, if I had asked.

I would like to mention one of the things I like most about Campbell Coffee House even though it has nothing to do with pet-friendliness: The owner makes a point of putting her money where her mouth is by supporting other local, and/or women-owned, and/or minority-owned businesses. Her inventory and supplies are purchased locally and from diverse, small business owners. If that is something that you value and if you would like to spend your money locally instead of giving it to a big corporate chain like Starbucks, then Campbell Coffee House may be a good alternative for you.

IS IT CONVENIENT OR A PAIN IN THE —?

One of the best things about this café is that they have their own private lot with free parking. If you need to give your dog a chance to “go” before entering the coffee house, you will feel safe walking around the block with your dog on-lead.

However, since Campbell Coffeehouse is an indoor activity, you may want to exercise your dog first before going there. I would suggest taking advantage of Los Gatos Creek County Park. Lovie and I both love going here- in fact, I wish it were closer and we live by many popular parks. The event coordinator for Left Bank, LB Steak and Mesa recommended it to me and it was right up our alley. It is definitely worth driving the 2 miles/ 7 minutes to enjoy the trails and segregated dog areas. Check out my pReview for a sneak peek.
